Summary

Historic Italian sweet wine made from Appassimento grapes, sourced from throughout the greater Valpolicella DOC. This DOCG is reflective of a wine style, rather than a geographical indication. Grapes must be dried off the vine for 100 to 120 days, with ranges in sweetness and alcohol. Production is small and artesian, with prices achieved unreflective of the high production costs and low yields (48hL/ha after drying and pressing) involved.
