Monção e Melgaço Alvarinho
(Good to Very Good)
A light white wine from Monção e Melgaço

Summary

A crushed fruit fermentation wine, often using skin contact for additional aromatic intensity, which is then fermented in older oak at mid-range temperatures. Malolactic conversion and maturation usually occurs in similarly neutral vessels and may incorporate lees ageing for texture. After fining and filtration the wines are generally bottled in glass under cork.
