A light white wine from Hunter Region or Hunter Valley Zone

Summary

A crushed fruit fermentation wine, made from Semillon that is harvested early, pressed immediately but gently to minimize skin contract and the extractions of any phenolics. It is fermented at moderate temperature in stainless steel and bottled immediately. Higher quality examples may be retained at the winery for 5 or more years to allow for bottle ageing before sale. Bottling in glass under screw cap is most common.
