A light red wine from Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Summary

A crushed fruit fermentation wine with considerable aging requirements. The fruit is first destemmed before fermentation in neutral vessels at warm temperatures. Post fermentation, wines may receive up to an additional 25 days of maceration on the skins before extended maturation in large format oak. By law, the wine must be 100% Sangiovese and may only be released 5 years (at least 2 in oak) after harvest, or 6 years (at least 3 in oak) after harvest if Riserva.
