Blaufränkisch
(Very Good to Outstanding)
A light red wine from
Austria
Summary
A crushed fruit fermentation wine, made from vines that have had their yield controlled to ensure ripeness, concentration and avoid green flavors. The fruit is crushed and fermented in neutral vessels at warm temperatures. Post fermentation, wines undergo further maceration on the skins before maturation in oak barrel to soften tannins and provide aromas of oak alongside primary fruit.
