Sultaniye
A white variety, originally from Turkey

Summary

Believed to have originated from the eastern Mediterranean, this white grape holds significance in the production of pale brown drying grapes commonly known as sultanas. It can also be used for vinification, resulting in a neutral and unremarkable white wine. In Riverland, Australia, this grape has occasionally been redirected from sultana production to winemaking, particularly during periods of wine grape scarcity.
