Savatiano
A white variety, originally from Greece

Summary

The most planted grape variety in Greece and the one mostly closely linked to the production of Retsina, however, it is common in many bulk wines. While it can be made into higher quality varietal wines, its low acid makes it more likely to be blended with other grapes.
