Summary

One in a group of many historic white varieties that are closely related. This one pales slightly in colour and aromatics, with more delicate orange blossom, grape, and citrus aromas. Often handled protectively to retain primary characteristics. Alsace holds the majority of plantings, but this grape can also found in Burgenland as well as Hungary, where it is known as Muskotály.
