Summary

An extremely aromatic, and phenolic, grape variety known for its pink skins, tropical fruits and pronounced florality. Strongly associated with Alsace, but grown in many other wine regions, the resultant wine is often noted for both its texture, elevated alcohol due to sugar accumulation, and lower acidity.
