Summary
This area reflects the original boundaries of Valpolicella with adjacent valleys that jut from the pre-alpine mountains. Grapes are planted on shallow calcareous and basalt hillsides that reach 400m, with slow ripening conditions contributing to increased fruit intensity. Wines are good to very good and inexpensive to mid-priced.
