This blended red wine area is located east of Verona in North East Italy. Split into two distinct growing areas, with hillside sites and cooler soils in the north contributing to slow ripening conditions and higher quality wines. Vineyard sites in the south are located on a flat plain with warmer gravel sandy soils contributing to higher yields, and early drinking wines.
