Swan Valley Subregion

Summary

A small enclave subregion of the wider Swan District Region. The climate is hot mediterranean with vineyards often situated on river banks or within close proximity to water for moderation. Cool Fremantle winds also bring reprieve to the area. Intense conditions contribute to the regional wine's structure, but does little to promote concentration of flavours. Fortified styles, bold reds and full-bodied whites can be found here.
