Savennières AOC

Summary

Famous area in Anjou for bone dry (Sec Tendre) white wines. Located on the north bank of the Loire River with a south-east sloped aspect. Dominant soil types include free draining schist and sandstone. Wines are concentrated, with incredible longevity, presenting austere in their youth due to astoundingly high levels of acidity.
