San Rafael IG/DOC

Summary

Known for high-altitude vineyards (450 to 800 meters above sea level) and cooler climate compared to the rest of Mendoza Province. Combined with over 300 sunshine days per year, low rainfall and a Wide Diurnal Range due to the nearby Andes Mountains, the region can produce structured and complex wines on its mainly alluvial, well-drained soils.
