Saint-Julien AOC

Summary

Smallest of the famous commune appellations of the Haut-Médoc AOC. Known for consistency in winemaking with wine styles boasting balance between concentration and subtlety - stylistically sitting between the powerful wines of its northern Pauillac AOC neighbour and the delicateness of the southern area of Margaux AOC. While there is no first growth châteaux within these boundaries, there is a high proportion of cru classé production. (5 x second growths, 2 x third growths, 4 x fourth growths)
