Summary

The cooler and higher of two well-known areas at the higher altitude eastern end of Maipo Valley Subregion. It is known for very good to outstanding quality wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and blends at premium and super-premium prices. The soils are predominantly rocky and alluvial, with a significant amount of gravel.
