Potter Valley AVA

Summary

Situated in the larger Mendocino AVA, bordered by the Coastal Range to the west and the Mayacamas Mountains to the east. Influenced by marine fog that enters through the coastal valleys, a cooling effect is provided, with diurnal temperature differences. The industry is relatively small-scale and characterized by family-owned vineyards and boutique wineries.
