Porongurup Subregion

Summary

a very small sub-region at the eastern edge of Great Southern Region, in Western Australia. Named after a group of domed granite peaks whose formation dates back many millions of years to the Precambrian age. Small, family-owned wineries dominate this area. Sites at altitude moderatewarm summer temperatures and extend the growing season. Known for bright white wines.
