Península de Setúbal

Summary

This region in Portugal is located south of Lisboa and features a maritime climate influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Known for its unique Pôster soil, a sandy soil rich in fossilized seashells, this area is largely flat plains, with some vineyard sites at altitude in the south. The area boasts two DOC's which feature red wines, and another which focuses on sweet fortified Moscatel wines.
