Summary

South central GI of Argentina which is not in the foothills of the Andes Mountains and is building a reputation for wines from cooler climate varietals due to a result of its higher latitude, long days, and constant winds from across Patagonia plain. In recent years it has gained an increasing reputation for Pinot Noir production and cooler climate expressions of Malbec, especially when contrasted to the remainder of Argentina.
