Minervois-la-Livinière AOC

Summary

A sub-region of Minervois AOC with its name deriving from the latin term for ‘wine cellar’. This appellation is for red wine only, and is situated on a limestone terrace. The high PH in the soil accompanied by higher elevation contributes to increased acidity levels in wine. This AOC is for red wines only. Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre must be at least 40% of the final blend with Carignan and Cinsaut making up at least 80%.
