Lower Murray Zone

Summary

A wine zone of South Australia that runs along the Murray River, and experiences a warm, dry climate with little rainfall and high evaporation rates. Known for its bulk wine production, utilizing river irrigation to help increase yields. Home to a number of large-scale commercial wineries, many of which produce wines for export. However, there are also smaller, family-owned wineries in the region that produce high-quality boutique wines.
