Langhorne Creek Region

Summary

A small region located in the Fleurieu Zone of South Australia. Intense sun from its low latitude position contribute to fruit development and ripe flavours in wine. Prevalent day-time breezes or 'southerlies' naturally reduce temperatures and vine vigour. Sites are situated on the Bremer River, which is uniquely used for flood irrigation in late winter.
