Goulburn Valley Region

Summary

Region located in the Central Victoria Zone, north of Melbourne. Distinctly warm, with a typical inland valley-floor climate and substantial diurnal temperature ranges. The heat is mitigated by the abundance of lakes, billabongs and creeks associated with the region's river. Known for the production of generous red wines but also Rhône varietal whites.
