Summary

Red wine appellation within the southern area of the Northern Rhône. Terraced vineyards are situated on steep south-facing granitic slopes which provide protection against the strong Mistral winds, and ensure full sunlight interception. Offering more consistency with wine quality than the Saint-Joseph AOC appellation immediately to its north.
