Choapa Valley Subregion

Summary

A small production subregion located within the northern area of the larger Coquimbo Region in Chile. With warm summers and mild winters, the region also experiences a significant diurnal temperature variation. Featuring a diverse topography with rolling hills, river valleys, and alluvial terraces, vineyards are located at varying altitudes, and best known for its premium red wines made from Carmenère.
