Bourgueil AOC

Summary

An French appellation in Touraine specialising in red and rosé wines. Sites are situated on the north bank of the Loire River, and the climate is particularly gentle with low rainfall. Limestone and gravel based soils are common and contribute to retained acidity, and structured tannin in wine. Yields are set to a maximum of 55hL/ha.
