Austral Region

Summary

Situated in the southern part of Chile this region is characterized by its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the influence of the cold Humboldt Current. Rainfall is higher here, with wet winters and cool summers. Characterized by mountainous terrain, with valleys, hillsides, and coastal plains. A small industry with a large commitment to organic and sustainable practices. Red, white, sparkling and dessert styles can be found.
