Aloxe-Corton AOC

Summary

Small village at the northern end of Côtes de Beaune. Dominated by the hill of Corton and planted on three sides, the unique mesoclimate of this area allows for reliable ripening conditions, with the only red wine Grand Cru site in the Côte de Beaune highlighting the potential quality of this area. These wines tend to be dense and closed when young, but show optimum balance between elegance and weight. There is also a tiny proportion of high quality white wine production.
